TISS Trailer Security Ltd was founded in 1999 by a team of hauliers who developed a range of security systems to protect their HGVs and trailers against theft and intruders. The TISS range of Trailer Security Systems includes:
- Fuel anti-siphon devices - to prevent theft of diesel from fuel tanks. Companies fitting the TISS ant-siphon have achieved up to 6% reductions in
their fuel-bills by preventing "skimming" of diesel.
- Slash proof curtains - a Kevlar based material that is applied to the inside of curtain-sided trailers to prevent thieves from cutting through the PVC curtains.
- Trailer Alarms - a 120 decibel alarm that is linked to the back doors of the trailer (or the TIR cord on curtainsiders). The alarm will also text the Transport Office if the doors are opened without an authorized PIN code.
- Trailer Tracking - a battery powered GSM unit that allows a Transport Manager to simply click and locate their vehicles or whole fleet.
