Satcom ATM Tracking
Satcom Technology has developed a tracking unit to track ATM’s following a surge of recent attacks.  The system is fitted “Inside” the ATM where it is most secure. It has its own power supply and can operate for several days giving positional updates every minute. The system can be connected to the main building alarm system and sends alarm signals to the relevant authorities in the event of an attack. Heart beat messages are monitored regularly to ensure that the system is operational at all times.

Satcom WITS (Weapons Intelligent Tracking System)

The Satcom WITS System can sense traumatic bullet impact to the officer’s personal body armor, knows when a weapon has been drawn and discharged, knows the number of rounds fired and the trajectory of projectiles as well as hearing hostile fire in close proximity to them. Furthermore the device has an intelligent interface capable of detecting whether shots are incoming or outgoing. This information is instantly transmitted to the central monitoring station, headquarters or a dispatcher for immediate response, reports and analysis.

With Satcom’s unique WITS system, Officers don’t even have to key their microphone to notify that they have been hit or involved in a firefight. Event, ID, location as well as vital data about the incident are transmitted immediately to the control server. Future reports can easily be generated by the server to re-create the details of an incident where firearms are involved, eliminating discrepancies in reports.

Satcom Satellite to Satellite (S2S)

For operations where there is either no GSM cover, the signal is too poor or where the GSM signal may be compromised Satcom have come up with a system using Satellite communications and is suitable for both general fleet management and or security applications.
The SATCOM – S2S is a complete single unit satellite terminal. Compact in size, the unit provides global coverage and information specific to customer requirements:

• Locate, track and communicate with mobile assets
• Safeguard personnel, fleets and cargo
• Monitor fixed assets

The SATCOM – S2S terminal is ideal for all environments and is favoured in remote regions where terrestrial communication cannot be relied upon.

The SATCOM – S2S is our Global Tracking’s latest satellite terminal. Designed as a multi-purpose unit, the terminal includes modem and antenna with interface functionality. Power supply is normally provided by the asset, however power source/battery backup is possible via an expansion module.

Pallet Tracking
Satcom’s “Pallet Track” is ideal for tracking high value consignments. A Pallet Track unit is placed on the pallet along with the main order and switched on. Satcom uses its Advanced Cellular Technology (ACT) to track these assets via GSM as GPS may not be available when the asset is removed from the building or container. RF tagging is also available to help pin point the ATM even if inside a building.  Using the latest software and mapping you can see where your goods are and display a snail trail of the route taken. The Pallet Track system also uses GPS technology and will report the GPS position also when available.
