Air Products selects Satcom to support new NHS home oxygen contract
Worldwide supplier of industrial and medical gases and equipment, Air Products, has selected Satcom Technology Ltd to support the new home oxygen service in England and Wales.
The contract follows Air Products' success in seven out of 11 NHS contracts to deliver medical oxygen to patients' homes in England and Wales.
After completing a comprehensive review of tracking systems on the market, Air Products selected Satcom to provide live management data to enable its new fleet of over 100 fully-equipped vans to achieve accurate deliveries.
The solution, which comprises the latest GPRS/GSM on-board tracking device, uses GPS to pinpoint the exact positions of the fleet in relation to the required delivery postcode, and then identifies the nearest support vehicle.
The web-based software is the very latest offering from Satcom and uses a unique combination of on-screen graphics to simplify live and historical tracking.
